We love our cozy mystery books, but we also love some cozy mystery TV! And among the coziest of mystery shows is the classic Murder, She Wrote series starring our favorite mystery author-turned-amateur sleuth, Jessica Fletcher.
If you're looking for your next cozy mystery read, let the episodes of Murder, She Wrote below give you a recommendation!
"Family Doctor" (Season 7, Episode 11) and Murder, She Wrote: A Body in Boston
We're doubling down on Murder, She Wrote, starting with an episode of the show and a book in the cozy mystery series both set in a restaurant in Boston.
In the episode, a quiet dinner in Boston for Seth and Jessica ends abruptly when the Cabot Cove doctor is forced to care for an injured Mafia kingpin. Will Seth and Jessica survive?

Jessica is in Boston to deliver a lecture, but she's also taking advantage of the trip to meet with old friends.
While having dinner at Gilhooley's with PI Harry McGraw, the bartender's daughter walks in covered in blood after discovering her boyfriend's corpse and quickly becomes the chief suspect in the murder.
"Keep the Home Fries Burning" (Season 2, Episode 14) and Agatha Raisin and a Spoonful of Poison
One of my all-time favorite episodes of Murder, She Wrote, this Cabot Cove episode and Agatha Raisin book pairing is all about jam. Unfortunately, it's poisoned jam.
In this episode of Murder, She Wrote, poisoned strawberry preserves served at the Joshua Peabody Inn result in the death of a diner.

Agatha Raisin has been hired to promote the village fete, but when the jam-tasting booth poisons two attendees, Agatha must switch from publicist to detective and solve the murders.
"Sticks and Stones" (Season 2, Episode 10) and The Village Detectives and the Poison Pen Letters
I am especially fond of the Murder, She Wrote episodes that take place in Cabot Cove. In this episode, Jessica Fletcher's quaint town is flooded with poison pen letters just as Amos Tupper is about to retire from being sheriff.

Crime novelist Phoebe Fredericks receives an invitation to her own funeral. The next day, her postman delivers a parcel of poisoned pen-nibs.
With the rest of the Village Detectives, they work to uncover the identity of the letter sender with poisonous intent.
"The Legacy of Borbey House" (Season 10, Episode 3) and A High-end Finish: A Fixer-Upper Mystery
In the episode, Jessica's contractor is struggling to manage her home renovation as it coincides with the remodeling of another house in town. To make matters worse, the owner of the other house—who may or may not be a vampire—is found murdered.

Contractor Shannon Hammer goes on a horrible blind date with real estate agent Jerry Saxton. She would've wanted to put the unfortunate matter behind her, but when Jerry is found murdered in a Victorian home she's been hired to restore, Shannon must find the real killer to clear her name and prevent her business from going under.
