Famed for their sunny beaches, great food, and their many rich and unique cultures, the countries of Southeast Asia are popular travel destinations, and for good reason. While there aren't too many cozy mysteries set in the region yet, we've put together a list to introduce you to this wonderful part of the world.

Dr. Siri Paiboun, elderly national coroner of Laos, investigates the mysterious connection between a series of bear attacks, a government official plunging to their death, and a crashed helicopter in a temple at Luang Prabang.
Our Featured Drink: Vietnamese Coffee
Vietnam has a very special coffee culture: secret cafes hidden in old, French colonial buildings; street-side coffee enjoyed on low tables while sitting on plastic chairs; and local Vietnamese coffee chains that have also gained acclaim worldwide.
Nearly all the Southeast Asian countries have their own take on coffee, and for this post we'll feature the Vietnamese coffee, but we'll be sure to feature the rest of the countries in the future, so stay tuned!
For this recipe, you'll need the phin, a Vietnamese coffee filter and Vietnamese coffee beans - there are plenty to choose from!
