Writer Anthony Horowitz and disgraced police detective Daniel Hawthorne's first case is a woman who goes to a funeral parlor to plan her own service and is found dead six hours later. It's clear she planned her funeral, but did she also plan her murder?

Our Featured Drink: Agatha Christie's Devonshire Cream

Writers and coffee go together like murder and a mystery, but apparently not when it comes to Agatha Christie. Her drink of choice wasn't coffee, but was in fact, Devonshire cream! A little surprising, as Devonshire cream is more like butter than it is liquid, but who are we to question the queen of mystery's drink choices? I myself love a healthy dollop of clotted cream, so I really can't blame her for having a cup of the stuff next to her typewriter while she worked.

And while it would be relatively easy now to purchase a jar of clotted cream, you can also make it yourself with this recipe from Paper and Salt.
